Local Bike Plans and Contacts

This “Power Map” aims to help you quickly access the important documents, committees, and decision makers that influence the outcome of bike friendly projects in your community. The next step is contacting decision makers in your community to talk about the importance of bike friendly projects in your neighborhood.

Bicycle Master Plans

Whether imagining one project that would change your neighborhood forever or working to make sweeping change in your community every single improvement starts with a great idea. A Bike Plan is blueprint for future bike friendly projects in your community. Looking in the local Bike Plan to determine if your project has documented and prioritized before contacting staff or elected officials will get you off to a great start.

Advocacy Committees

The Bicycle Coalition has put together regional advocacy committees to help increase our effectiveness as we move forward in promoting a bike  friendly SLO County! We highly recommend contacting the committee in your community to get involved in their ongoing efforts to complete projects countywide. These regional groups have existing relationships with local leaders and offer great insight into our advocacy efforts. Organized efforts around specific projects are ongoing, so please do not hesitate to contact us with more questions or concerns. (805)547-2055 or connect@slobikelane.org
