This online survey seeks input on bicycling in our communities throughout SLO County. The survey helps us understand how people ride bicycles locally, what types of barriers exist, and how we can make riding better for decades to come.
In order to improve built facilities for bicycles we encourage everyone to take the survey, regardless of your riding habits. In this survey you will have the opportunity to express your viewpoints on the following:
- What prevents you from riding to work or for fun?
- What types of lanes/paths are you comfortable riding on?
- What would you like to see more of?
- …and more!
By answering these questions for our local officials, you can help us continue to Connect SLO County!
This online survey is a follow-up to a previous survey that was mailed to a random sampling of the community and will be used to further inform officials about San Luis Obispo County residents’ views and priorities. Last day to submit an online survey response is Thursday September 5, 2013 at 4:00 PST.

The original survey was mailed to 2000 randomly households earlier this year. It was funded by SLOCOG and the Air Pollution Control District and carried out by the San Luis Obispo County Bicycle Coalition. Data is being tabulated, and will be made available on the SLOCOG website later in 2013. The results of this survey will be used to develop program and infrastructure investment priorities, and help leaders understand the current bicycle network as a transportation option.
