De Anza Path Board of Supervisors Meeting August 21

The SLO County Board of Supervisors is set to vote on the purchase of 7 acres of land within the proposed Anza Trail corridor at their August 21st meeting. If purchased, these parcels would be the future route of the Anza Trail from San Luis Obispo to Pismo Beach.

Join us for the Board of Supervisors meeting to show support for the advancement of this project!

MEETING DETAILS:

Tuesday August 21st, 9:00 am
1055 Monterey St, San Luis Obispo (map)

If you cannot make the meeting
(it’s understandable, being that it’s in the middle of a workday) we highly encourage you to email your Supervisor to tell them simply, “I want to further the completion of the Anza Trail.” You can find their contact information on their webpage here. Feel free to use the following text in your email:

Dear Supervisor {insert last name},

I am writing because I love the Anza Trail plan, and urge you to move forward in acquiring the land necessary to make the project a reality, so that one day soon we can all experience the joy of riding or walking from San Luis Obispo to Pismo Beach. The overwhelming popularity of the trails similar to this, and their potential to create an enormously positive impact in our community are both reasons why I strongly support your efforts to move forward with the land acquisition.

While it is clear that this process is years in the making, I cannot help but show my support for immediate action. Please know that our community is very excited to ride the entire Anza Trail, and ask that the County maintain focus in ensuring the future of this project.

Sincerely,

{your name and affiliation}
